How Does It Work?
Definitions
A MicroJob is a small job that you need done. Something like picking up the dry cleaning, cleaning out the garage or running to the shops.
There are two types of users of MicroJobs: Requesters and Helpers.
A Requester is a user who requests help in the form of an advertisement post describing the work required.
A Helper is a user who quotes a price for the work and then if accepted by the requester will perform the required work.
MicroJobs has been developed to cater for both types of users at the same time. You can choose whether you want to be a Requester or a Helper or both.
The Process

| Who | What | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Requester and Helper | Log In | Both Requesters and Helpers should be logged into the system. |
| Requester | Place an Ad | A requester places an ad post requesting help. The ad post will detail what work is required, where it is required to be performed, a deadline for completion and also a budget for the work. New jobs will have the "Open" status. |
| Helper | Quote | Helpers who are able to perform the required work will post quotes for the job. Helpers can only place one quote per job. |
| Requester | Accept a quote | Based on a combination of the amount quoted, the historical feedback, and history of the helper who has quoted you are able to make an informed decision about who you would like to choose to complete the work for you. Quotes can be accepted from the job detail page. Once a quote has been accepted both the quote and the job will change to the "in progress" status. If you have received multiple quotes then the unsuccessful quotes status will be updated to "Not Accepted". |
| Helper | Complete the work | Once your quote has been accepted, you as a helper will then complete the required work. If you have provided your contact details in your profile you will be able to see each others contact details. Once the job has been completed the Helper can then mark the job as complete. This will update both the job and quote status to "Complete". Jobs can be marked as complete from the job detail page. |
| Requester | Close the job | If you are satisfied the work has been completed you can then mark the job as complete. This will update both the job and quote status to "Closed". |
| Requester and Helper | Arrange payment | At the moment payment for the work is to be arranged externally to MicroJobs. Payment for completed work is to be arranged by the Requester and Helper. |
| Requester | Give Feedback | Based on your level of satisfaction with the work performed you can leave a star rating and optional feedback for your helper. 1 star means very unsatisfied and 5 stars means very impressed. This feedback will then be visible for other users to assist them in future decisions. |
Other Options
Upgrade to featured listing - To show other users that you are serious about the job you have posted, you can upgrade your listing to a Featured Job for $2. An upgraded listing will be displayed with a highlighted background and border in search results. The image chosen in your profile will be shown in search results. "Featured Job" will also be shown on your job listing.
Cancel a job - If you are the requester of a MicroJob then you are able to cancel it. Jobs can only be cancelled from the "Open" or "In Progress" status. If your job is In Progress then please be sure to advise your Helper. Jobs can only be cancelled from the Job detail page. Once cancelled both the quote and the job status will be updated to "Cancelled".
Expired jobs - When requesting a job you will set a deadline for completion. If however your job remains in the "Open" status at the deadline, the job status will automatically be updated to "Expired". All quotes on expired jobs will also automatically be updated to "Expired" status.
